COURSE NOTES / OCTOBER 19, 2026

Original teaching.
Clear provenance.

The Context Engineering Lab is an independently created, written course presented under vibegraph and The Context Layer. It teaches practical retrieval and context engineering through original explanations, fictional examples, Python exercises, quizzes, and a capstone.

The public MIT xPRO program page was used to identify broad subject coverage and a pricing benchmark. Private lessons, recordings, assessments, instructor notes, and student materials were not accessed or reproduced. Matching broad topics does not establish equivalent teaching, rigor, outcomes, or credentials.

Price and format comparison

The reference page advertised standard tuition of $5,600 USD and a promotional price of $5,376 USD when inspected on October 19, 2026. The course price here is $53.76 USD = $5,376 ÷ 100. The reference price may change.

How REA was used

REA 6.7.0 was installed and invoked on a downloaded public JavaScript page bundle. Artifact inventory completed, but deeper JavaScript analysis stopped because process-ownership inspection was unavailable in the host environment. No claim of successful semantic reconstruction or private-course recovery is made. Public page data was inspected separately to verify topic coverage and tuition.

What this edition includes

Eight modules, 24 lessons, 16 labs, 48 quiz questions, a Python reference kit, a printable handbook, and a capstone rubric. The lesson and lab text totals approximately 20,600 words. Estimated study time is 40–60 hours with practice and a capstone, and varies by learner. Each module links primary-source technical reading. The course uses new explanations and examples rather than republishing those sources.

The core kit has 16 synthetic records and 24 evaluation cases. Standard-library retrieval and behavioral tests were run. Real generation and learned-embedding adapters are optional and have not been validated with live provider calls in this build. No live model performance or production-readiness claim is made.

Privacy and course delivery

RAIZEN LABS operates this course under vibegraph and The Context Layer. Sign in with ChatGPT to enroll and access purchased materials. We use the stable Site account identifier to associate your enrollment with your account. Your signed-in email is displayed to you and prefilled in Stripe Checkout; changing that payment email does not change which account receives access.

Stripe processes payments. This Site does not receive or store card numbers. Enrollment records contain account identifiers, checkout references, payment identifiers, delivery-terms acceptance version, and confirmation or refund/dispute status. These records support delivery, access checks, and resolving purchase issues. Hosting and payment providers may process ordinary operational and security logs.

Progress, quiz scores, and notes stay in your browser, scoped to your signed-in account. They are not synchronized to a course server. Export a backup from the classroom before clearing browser data or changing devices. Resetting progress deletes that browser's course record, not your purchase record.

For access help, refund requests, or privacy requests, contact ryan@raizenlabs.xyz. Purchase records may need to be retained to support access and meet recordkeeping obligations. See the course delivery terms before enrolling.

External research, provider, and newsletter links lead to services with their own terms and privacy practices. The optional local generation script sends queries and selected evidence to OpenAI only when you run it using your own credentials.

Course completion is self-reported. Quiz scores and the capstone rubric do not constitute independent assessment, professional certification, or a security audit.
